DescriptionPollster John Zogby updates our weekly Obama Report Card with a grade on the president's performance. Zogby uses his polling, expert analysis, and interaction with major players to come up with a grade and some comments that capture how he see's the president's week ending.

John Zogby on Week: 100

"Our latest polling results for the president are brutal: approval tying his low of 39 percent and 63 percent labeling him a weak leader. This came even though in the same poll 61 percent of voters approve of his tax cut deal with Republicans. Disaffection from Democrats is one reason why his ratings are so low (38 percent say he is weak, 48 percent say he gives in too easily to Republicans and 60 percent oppose the deal.) Despite current anger from the left and continued unhappiness from independents with Obama, I still think the tax deal was a good move for the president. He will look much better again to Democrats when Republicans actually take over the House and John Boehner's weepy performance on 60 Minutes was not an auspicious way to introduce himself as speaker. In the spirit of the holidays, I'll keep the president's weekly grade at passing."
