Dallas Mayor Injured in Bicycle Crash

| Description | Dallas Mayor Tom Leppert broke two ribs and shattered a third in a bicycle crash over the weekend.
Leppert was moving a little slowly at a city council meeting and later said it was due to a crash at L.B. Houston Nature Trails on Saturday.
The mayor also hit his head in the crash, but the helmet he was wearing protected him. The latter is doubly-good since helmets are mandated by city code.
Leppert is expected to be OK and is moving through his schedule as fast as his ribs will let him -- though he did say they are slowing him down. |
