Description | Miami's large, GOP-leaning Cuban-American population is an important vote for Republicans running for statewide election, so it doesn't bode well for gubernatorial candidate Rick Scott that he has picked up few endorsements from the area. Despite the fact that Miami-Dade politics are nonpartisan, newly elected school board member Raquel Regalado, a registered Republican, has endorsed Democrat Alex Sink. Is Raquelita's father, Mayor Tomas Regalado, about to follow suit? Well, he has nothing but nice things to say about Sink.
The mayor -- whose job position is nonpartisan but who is a registered Republican -- isn't sure if he'll make an endorsement, but he seems to favor Sink. |
