Descriptionn July, U.S. Socialist Stewart Alexander announced that he would seek the 2012 Presidential Nomination for the Socialist Party USA; now Stewart Alexander has announced that he will also seek the Presidential Nomination for the Green Party in 2012. In 2008, Stewart Alexander was the Vice Presidential Nominee for the Socialist Party USA and achieved ballot status in 29 states.

Stewart Alexander says his intentions to seek the presidential nomination for both political parties is based upon the common interests that are shared between the Green Party and the Socialist Party; addressing the needs of the working class, creating good paying jobs, protecting human rights, protecting the environment and ending the U.S. occupation in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Presently, Stewart Alexander is the first candidate making the announcement for both political parties. His early announcement is timely; President Barack Obama has been sliding in the national polls and some polls show his approval rating below 44 percent. Recent polls are showing Congress with a much lower rating; below 18 percent.
