Description | Somehow, "Mermaids in Manhattan" just doesn't seem to carry the same whimsy as a visit to the Sunshine State to ooh and aah over the mermaids of Weeki Wachee Springs.
But I don't think PETA cares whether the new office building at 11 Times Square is successful at attracting tourists with the $100 million aquarium that might be included. The animal rights group just doesn't want to see fish "suffer horribly in captivity," it says in a letter to developer Jerry Shefsky that The Wall Street Journal posted.
