DescriptionA Republican candidate for the U.S. Senate says he is blanketing the state of Illinois with radio advertisements that call a rival's sexuality into question.

Senate candidate and Internet Columnist Andy Martin plans to meet with reporters Monday afternoon to discuss his new ad campaign, which even he acknowledges, airs rumors about Congressman Mark Kirk. In a press release, Martin quotes conservative Republican commentators discussing rumors that Kirk is gay.

Martin says homosexuality is not the issue. He says it is hypocrisy, alleging that Kirk doesn't tell the voters who he really is.
