Description | There's no good time to announce you're running against senator-for-life Charles Grassley, but the timing doesn't get much better than this.
Maybe that's why, with Tom Fiegen's announcement, they're starting to line up for Grassley's seat in Washington. I don't remember them lining up this early in the 2004 election when Grassley was getting ready to beat Arthur Small like a bass drum.
On Friday afternoon, Fiegen, a 50-year-old Cedar Rapids lawyer and economist, stood in front of the Iowa Workforce Development office on East Grand Avenue and introduced Des Moines to "Fiegenomics," which calls for full employment, health care for everyone and a ban on "financial piracy." |
