Description | As expected, state Comptroller Dan Hynes today said he will run for governor in the 2010 election.
Hynes sent an e-mail this morning to supporters and others on his campaign’s e-mail list.
In it, he said a formal announcement of his candidacy would come later, but he wanted his supporters to start getting ready.
Hynes, a Democrat, would square off in the February 2010 primary against Gov. Pat Quinn, who was elevated to governor after the ouster of Rod Blagojevich in January.
Part of Hynes’ e-mail appears to take a shot a Quinn, though without mentioning him by name: |
