Description | Former Bay State Gov. Mitt Romney is in a dead heat with President Obama in the first major poll that asked voters who they would support in the 2012 presidential election.
Romney and Obama each collected 45 percent of the vote in the Rasmussen poll, which presented voters with various head-to-head matchups. Obama would beat former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin by six percentage points, 48 to 41 percent, the poll found.
In both match-ups, 7 percent picked another candidate while 3 percent were undecided. |
