David Valesky has no plans to run for NY's 23rd Congressional District seat

| Description | Sen. David Valesky, D-Oneida, said today he will not run for the 23rd Congressional District seat currently held by Rep. John McHugh.
"Sen. Valesky is squarely focused on his work in the state Senate," spokeswoman Jessica DeCerce said.
Valesky's name came up earlier this week as a possible successor to McHugh, who was tapped Tuesday by President Obama to be the next Army Secretary. |
