| Description | Jan Drago, City of Seattle Councilmember of 16 years, today officially announced she is running against incumbent Greg Nickels to become mayor of Seattle. The primary is August 18th and the election between the two highest vote getters in the primaries will be held November 3rd.
She announced her decision on the steps of the Seattle Art Museum and she began by making her rationale clear by saying why she felt she had to run: "I don't think any of us can remember a time when Seattle was less respected. When Seattle had less influence in the Legislature or in the region." |
