Description | On the verge of vindication, former Rep. Gary Condit plans a tell-all book.
Condit, whose once-promising political career collapsed after the mysterious murder of 24-year-old intern Chandra Levy, said the world is finally ready to hear his side of the story.
"I had always hoped to have the opportunity to tell my side of this story, but toomany were not prepared to listen. Now I plan to do so," he said in a statement to WJLA-TV in Washington.
Condit, who ran ice cream stores in Phoenix after losing his seat representing a district about 100 miles from San Francisco in 2002, hailed reports that cops are about to charge Ingmar Guandique, a Salvadoran immigrant already jailed for attacking two joggers. |
