DescriptionAyman Taha, a Hamas leader, said that the fate of Cpl Shalit, captured in a cross-border raid in 2006, is "a separate issue and should be dealt with in the framework of a prisoner exchange only".

Speaking after truce talks brokered by Egyptian officials in Cairo, he added: "Hamas does not agree to link the release of Shalit with a truce and the lifting of the blockade."
