Description | OTTAWA - The gloves were off on Parliament Hill again on Wednesday as the government and opposition parties continued their battle for power and public opinion and and Prime Minister Stephen Harper prepared for a nationally televised speech, when he will make the Conservative case in the ongoing political struggle.
In another lively session of question period Wednesday afternoon, the Conservatives accused Liberal Leader Stephane Dion and NDP Leader Jack Layton of weakening national unity by relying on Bloc Quebecois support for their newly formed coalition. |
