Description | Jeff Morris has described himself as a man who "takes on projects that people said were impossible."
In his latest attempt to do so, the prize is a Congressional seat that has not changed hands for more than two decades.
The 41-year-old Democrat from Weaverville seeks California's 2nd District seat in the House of Representatives, the preserve of Chico Republican Wally Herger since 1987. During a Tuesday interview in the Appeal-Democrat newsroom, Morris showed little concern about the North State's conservative leanings, saying his focus on citizens' economic health rather than fighting cultural battles can win him the election. |
