Mayor Phil Gordon is popping up around town wearing Prada sneakers and whiskered $200 jeans, his hair tousled just so.
He lost 20 pounds, found a new hair gel and the town is atwitter over his new sartorial glow.
Long known for his ability to bring people together and for his schlumpy suits, too, Gordon now makes appearances wearing William Rast designer jeans, endorsed by Justin Timberlake.
"He is so hot right now," says Joanna Peters, 39, a former campaign worker who ran into him at the Arcadia Independence Day parade, where Gordon had local moms giggling to each other about his newly svelte silhouette. "I was like, 'That certainly doesn't look like my mayor.'
"He looks a lot more relaxed since the election is over. He's definitely been working out, and he's definitely done something different with his hair." |
