Description | Count Bob Kerrey as a Hillary Clinton fan.
The former Nebraska senator and governor plans to endorse the Democratic presidential hopeful Sunday in Council Bluffs.
Kerrey said Friday that he considers Clinton a smart woman who can "hit the ground running" as president.
Kerrey, who now lives in New York City and is president of the New School University, said Clinton has done a "great job" as a senator for New York and that she's ready to be president.
"I think she'll recruit based on competency. I think she will be able to work with the Congress. And I think she'll build a bipartisan coalition that you have to, to get things done," Kerrey said.
Kerrey is the second person with Nebraska ties to help the Clinton campaign this week. Omaha investor Warren Buffett helped raise about $1 million for Clinton at a San Francisco fundraiser Tuesday. |
