Description | The race in Kentucky's Fourth Congressional District is a rematch that would have happened two years ago if not for a term limits pledge.
Instead of then GOP-challenger Geoff Davis having the chance to seek revenge on Ken Lucas, who eked out a victory against him in 2002 for a third term, the upstart Davis captured the congressional seat with a trouncing of Nick Clooney, who was long on name recognition but short on political wherewithal in a conservative district.
But now, with control of the House up for grabs and many voters seemingly soured on Washington this mid-term, the rematch between Lucas and Davis is shaping up to be more than just a Kentucky grudge match. |
