Description | Democrat Frank Lautenberg will defeat Republican Douglas Forrester in next week's U.S. Senate election.
That fearless prognostication is based on the results of the New Jersey Pest Management Association's 13th annual Cockroach Derby, which was held Wednesday at the Sheraton Hotel in Iselin, Middlesex County.
The designated Lautenberg cockroach defeated the Forrester cockroach in a "rout," organization spokesman Alan Caruba said. "The Forrester cockroach didn't even make it to the finish line," he said. "It veered to the left and appeared to become disoriented."
The derby has an 80 percent accuracy rating with previous politically oriented races, organizers said. |
