| Description | Catholic elementary school students performed near or above the 70th percentile in just about every curriculum area on the Stanford Achievement Test, according to results released this week by the Archdiocese of New Orleans.
Archdiocese officials hailed the latest batch of test scores -- 20 percentile points above the national average -- despite the distraction last school year of Hurricane Katrina.
