Description | JERUSALEM (Reuters) - Most Israeli Jews want their Arab fellow citizens to leave the country, a survey released on Tuesday found, suggesting a fraying of relations against the backdrop of a more than 5-year-old Palestinian revolt.
Asked if the government should encourage Arabs to emigrate, 62 percent of Jews polled by the Israel Democracy Institute said yes. Given the Jewish majority, pollster Asher Arian said the finding reflected the view of nearly half of Israelis overall. |
