| Description | Attorney General Mike Beebe raised almost $2.4 million last year in his Democratic campaign for governor, his campaign announced Monday, approaching the fundraising record set by Gov. Mike Huckabee four years ago.
Beebe raised $2.39 million from June 14 - the day he entered the governor's race - until Dec. 31, including $641,635 during the fourth quarter of 2005, his campaign said. It said Beebe had $1.73 million on hand at the end of the year.
Republican Asa Hutchinson reported last week that he raised more than $370,000 in the final quarter of last year, pushing total contributions to $1.003 million. |
