Description Science deals in facts, which should never be confused with truths. If science could prove the existence of God, we wouldn't need belief. Creeds and confessions would just be scientific conclusions. Houses of worship would just be laboratories. The Bible would just be a textbook.

That's one way to make sure no student ever reads it.

The people who are pushing intelligent design _ like the people who are pushing creationism as a science _ claim that evolution is just a theory. So is gravity. So what?

Intelligent design isn't a scientific theory. It's a set of beliefs. Ultimately, it requires a belief that the universe is so complex and amazing, it must have been created by some sort of supernatural designer.
