Description | Bear Creek Republican who has failed to win in two previous statewide elections thinks 2006 may be his year.
Robert Gerald Lorge, 46, a lawyer, plans to run against Sen. Herb Kohl, a Milwaukee Democrat. Kohl has served in the U.S. Senate since 1988 and has a large personal fortune to tap for his re-election bid. Recent polls show Kohl with relatively strong approval numbers.
Still, Lorge says Kohl's time is over.
"He has done very little for the people of the state of Wisconsin," said Lorge, who says that if elected he would take action to improve the economy and help American workers compete into the future. |
