MINNEAPOLIS - Days before mayoral elections in St. Paul and Minneapolis, a new Star Tribune Minnesota Poll paints different pictures for the two incumbents.
Minneapolis Mayor R-T Rybak and St. Paul Mayor Randy Kelly are both D-F-Lers seeking second terms.
The latest poll shows that among likely voters in St. Paul, former City Council member Chris Coleman leads Kelly by 41 points -- or 66 percent to 25 percent.
In Minneapolis, the poll indicates Rybak leads challenger Hennepin County Commissioner Peter McLaughlin by 22 points -- or 55 percent to 33 percent.
The random telephone poll surveyed 706 likely voters in Minneapolis from October 30th through November Fourth, with a sampling error margin of plus or minus 3.7 percentage points.
The poll surveyed 513 likely voters in St. Paul from the same time period. That sampling error margin is plus or minus 4.3 percentage points. |
