Description | As was the case with author Mark Twain, reports of the death of Rep. Katherine Harris (R-Fla.) have been "greatly exaggerated."
Billing himself as an "independent investigative journalist," Internet writer Tom Flocco published the false claim that Harris was killed in a plane crash Monday morning near Toronto's Island Airport.
The story was removed from Flocco's website about the same time that Harris appeared on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives, very much alive nearly 12 hours after police told local reporters that the male pilot was the only person aboard the downed aircraft. |
