DescriptionLANSING, Mich. (AP) — Domino's Pizza Inc. executive David Brandon will not run for the U.S. Senate seat now held by Democrat Debbie Stabenow, the head of the Michigan Republican Party said Wednesday.

State GOP party chairman Saul Anuzis said Brandon wants to run for re-election to the University of Michigan Board of Regents next year rather than run for the Senate.

Brandon, of Ann Arbor, also said part of his decision was based on his "confidence in the current field of candidates," Anuzis said in a news release.
