Description | " Robert Codey, the brother of acting Gov. Richard Codey, has filed for a Sept. 1 retirement from his deputy attorney general's post, clearing the way for him to begin collecting a $98,000-a-year pension that was boosted by an unusual state government salary-sharing arrangement with Union County.
Codey, 55, added at least $33,000 a year to his retirement package by signing on to help the Union County prosecutor with organized crime cases.
Under an unusual arrangement approved by the all-Democrat Union County freeholder board last September, Union County agreed to supplement Codey's $93,268 state salary with an additional $46,731. "
