| Description | After a little more than two years in Congress, U.S. Rep. Artur Davis , D-Birmingham, is becoming more precise about his ambitions for higher office: the United States Senate or the governorship of Alabama.
While recently at his alma mater, Harvard University, to accept a Democratic leadership award, Davis told a reporter for the student newspaper that he planned to seek one of those posts within the next five years.
