Description | "TOPEKA — Johnson County residents pledged more money than other Kansans to support the April 5 same-sex marriage ban vote, but the contributions were dwarfed by a few large out-of-state donors.
Nearly $190,000 has been raised by groups on both sides of the proposed amendment, finance reports filed this week showed.
Voters will be asked to approve a change to the Kansas Constitution that would define marriage as being between a woman and a man and prohibit the state from granting the rights of marriage to other relationships."
