Description | Most of Indiana would spring forward and fall back with New York while the western corners of the state would align with Chicago, under a proposal for daylight-saving time endorsed Monday by Gov.-elect Mitch Daniels.
The time change is just one part of Daniels' agenda for the 2005 legislature, which he laid out Monday for reporters. Other proposals address tax credits, schools, child protection and more.
Daylight-saving time has divided the state, and the legislature, for years. Although Daniels has taken to downplaying the issue as he tries to get reporters and the public to focus on his broader plans for spurring economic growth, he remains steadfast in his support for changing Hoosier clocks. |
