Description | Daily Herald Article.
An excerpt..."Aaron Schock's name and age have been mentioned in the same breath since he was 19, when he became the youngest person ever elected to Peoria's public school board.
Now 23, he's about to become the youngest member of the Illinois General Assembly. He defeated four-term Rep. Ricca Slone, a lawyer more than twice his age, by 235 votes in the November election and takes office Jan. 12.
State officials say the Peoria Republican will be one of the state's youngest lawmakers ever, though no records exist tracing ages over the legislature's 185-year history." |
