DescriptionWhat do Sen. Michele Bachmann and a partially eaten grilled cheese sandwich have in common? They're here to help us define what is on the fringe, and what's just good old-fashioned religion.
First, some background.
Michele Bachmann is a conservative Christian Republican state senator from Stillwater. She almost single-handedly shut down the Legislature's 2004 session when she insisted that no progress be made unless it included a constitutional amendment to prohibit same-sex marriage. Bachmann and her troops stand ready to use the same issue to clobber the 2005 Legislature.
