Description | Justin Major had given up pulling Democratic primary ballots soon after he moved to DuPage County a decade ago.
There just wasn't anyone to vote for on the opposite ticket in what the local GOP proclaims as "America's most Republican county."
Now Major walks precincts for the growing local Democratic Party - and sees signs of change in the front yards of other young couples and retirees moving into his Wheaton neighborhood.
"On my block I'm not the sole person who had Democratic signs out front" this past election, Major said. "It wasn't as lonely as I thought it would be." |
