Description | If Frank Murkowski is his daughter's albatross, Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry is Knowles'. Kerry was a leading opponent of Arctic drilling; to some Alaskans, he is as far removed from their conservative values as Boston is from Anchorage. So Knowles, a fraternity brother of George W. Bush's at Yale, rarely utters Kerry's name on the stump. Similarly, Murkowski's campaign Web site doesn't mention her father. |
