DescriptionTALLAHASSEE - Mel Martinez has linked his political fate to President George W. Bush heading into an election in a state with a polarized electorate and a history of supporting centrist candidates in statewide races.

Martinez isn't shy about touting his Bush ties in the U.S. Senate race against Democrat Betty Castor.

Martinez uses the president in his television ads for the U.S. Senate race. They have appeared at joint campaign events, including a political rally in Miami following the first presidential debate.
