DescriptionI want to take this opportunity to speak from the heart about Hurricane Ivan. I've spent all day digesting the news that the storm caused catastrophic devastation to the Cayman Islands. My family owns a home on the North End of Grand Cayman, an area that was particularly hard hit.In all likelihood it has been completely destroyed. Even large hotels on the island have been leveled. Luckily, there are as of yet no reports of fatalities on the island, and my sincere hope is that that remains the case. However, hundreds of families there have lost their homes and businesses. Many have had all of their earthly possessions washed out to sea. I know the Caymanians, and they are a compassionate and warm people. My heart is heavy with sadness over the possible loss of our family's home on the island, but that sadness pales in comparisson to that which I feel for those on the islands that have lost everything. My thoughts and prayers are with them all as they begin the tortuous process of rebuilding, and I ask on their behalf for your thoughts and prayers for them as well. I also keep in my prayers all of those who still lie in Ivan's path, including all of us here in New Orleans. May God Almighty shed His infinite mercy upon us, and comfort those who have already suffered.
Thank You All,
Brandon
