| Description | TALLAHASSEE -- Calling it misleading and unconstitutional, the ACLU and Planned Parenthood filed suit Monday to halt a ballot measure that would force pregnant teens seeking an abortion to tell their parents.
The abortion measure -- one of eight proposed changes to the state constitution offered to Florida voters on the Nov. 2 ballot -- would invade privacy rights of minors guaranteed in the state constitution and could lead to the injury or death of girls trying to end pregnancies themselves in order to avoid telling parents, critics said. |
