DescriptionMillionaire investor M. Blair Hull admits he might imagine himself in Barack Obama's shoes as he watches the Democratic Senate nominee deliver the keynote address tonight at the Democratic National Convention, but he insists he will feel no sadness or regrets.

"I don't have any bitterness about this campaign, whatsoever," said Hull, who spent a record $30 million of his fortune in a failed bid for the Senate nomination.

As he watches, Hull said he expects "there's going to be a little bit of 'What if? . . . What if I had been there, if I were there? What if things had changed?'

"But I think he's a natural person to do this. I think it's good that he has the recognition, that the party did step up and say 'We want Barack to do it.'"

To a person, the six Democrats Obama trounced in the March Democratic primary said they plan to watch Obama give his first major address to the nation tonight without a trace of sadness or regret.
