Description | For Larry Diedrich and Stephanie Herseth it's a day of last minute handshakes. And, for poll workers it's just as busy. South Dakota Secretary of State Chris Nelson says he hasn't heard from a single precinct that hasn't seen higher than usual turnout.
The church at 57th Street and Minnesota Avenue always sees a lot of voters. But volunteers at the Lincoln County precincts are extra busy.
"A little more crowded than normal. Seems like more of a voter turnout I think than what we normally have in this precinct," says Lincoln County Voter Jim Wallace.
In just forty-five minutes, nearly one-hundred people cast their ballots. |
