| Description | WASHINGTON -- U.S. Senate candidate Tony Knowles announced he raised $705,000 in the first three months of the year, creeping a little closer to Sen. Lisa Murkowski's total.
Murkowski, a Republican, said Thursday she brought in about $500,000 over the same period, although she said the figures were still preliminary. Reports for the period aren't due until next week.
If the campaigns' estimates are accurate, Murkowski's total has risen to $2.38 million, while Knowles' comes to $1.75 million.
