| Description | Most of the members of the Thomas Walker Band had worked together in earlier projects. They decided to combine the best of their talents into the Thomas Walker Band. When they found Dan Black to provide the back beat to their pioneering sound, they were finally ready to put themselves on the map. The name Thomas Walker comes from James’ and Chris’ childhood. A homeless hobo Vietnam vet with a talent for the blues harp would often stop and tell tall tales of adventures from around the world to the young boys. He wore raggedy, torn up blue jeans and a dirty camouflaged jacket covering a brown sweater. He had long hair and a curly beard and years of worry on his face. They never knew his name, but they always found him walking Thomas road, hence the Thomas Walker Band. |
