| Description | The polls must be open no earlier than 6:00 am and no later than 9:00 am on Election Day; except in municipalities with a population of less than 4,000, the polls must be opened no later than 10:00 am on Election Day. The municipal officers of each municipality shall determine the time of opening the polls within these limits. The polls must be closed by 8:00 pm on Election Day; except in municipalities of population less than 100 which may close the polls after all registered voters have voted. The municipal clerk shall state the times of opening and closing the polls in the notice of the election. If you are in line when the location closes, you can still register and vote. All times listed are Eastern Time. |
