Timeline:
June 9, 1732 -- Georgia's charter finalized.
February 12, 1733 -- Settlers arrive at Yamacraw Bluff, in what is now Savannah. This date is known as Georgia Day.
February 5, 1777 -- Georgia's 1st Constitution was adopted. This served to dissolve the Province of Georgia as a colony.
December 29, 1778 -- British occupy Savannah. Shortly after British re-establish colony.
July 11, 1782 -- British evacuate Savannah, permanently ending colonial rule in Georgia.
