Description |
A two-enclave former Portuguese colony representing the smallest territorial division among the Union Territories and States of India.
Enclaves were seized by the Indian Army on December 19, 1961, along with Goa, in an act of war dubbed Operation Vijay.
Both islands are separated by the Gulf of Khamblat.
Main language is Gujarati. Capital is located at Daman.
