The Workers' Party of Korea is the ruling organization of North Korea and the nation-state's ultimate arbiter. Its Chairman, through a Central Committee (or politburo), serves as its decision and command center. The Chairman also leads the Central Military Commission, an organ of the Party's Central Committee, which runs the Korean People's Army (KPA), and acts as Chairman of the State Affairs Commission (SAC), which initiates domestic policy.
