The Town of Knightdale is a Council-Manager form of municipal government. The Town's governing body is composed of a Mayor and Town Council. The Council is made up of five (5) Councilors. The governing body serves four-year, staggered terms. These officials are selected in a general election to represent the citizens of Knightdale.
The Town Council meets three times a month. A Work Session Meeting is held on the first Monday at 7:00 p.m., a Regular Meeting is held on the third Wednesday at 7:00 p.m., and if needed, a Joint Public Hearing with the Land Use Review Board is held on the third Thursday at 7:00 p.m. All meetings are open to the public and held at Knightdale Town Hall, located at 950 Steeple Square Court.
