Representative Chuck Wooten, a Republican, represents Greene County (District 137) in the Missouri House of Representatives.
Rep. Wooten is retired from the U.S. Postal Service. He worked for them in Memphis, Tenn., for 34 years and received many awards for outstanding leadership. Rep. Wooten also served in the navy for three years.
Rep. Wooten is a member of the following organizations: the Elks; the Gate of Temple Lodge; the American Legion; Voiture 40 and 68; and National Association of Retired Federal Employees (NARFE). He is also a member of the Presbyterian church, and he is a lifetime member of the PTA.
A 1945 graduate of Springfield Central High School, Rep. Wooten attended Memphis Business School, the University of California-Los Angeles, and the University of Tennessee.
Rep. Wooten served on the Springfield City Council from 1983 to 1988, and was Mayor Protem from 1987 to 1988.
Born July 14, 1927 in Springfield, Rep. Wooten currently resides in Springfield with his wife, Joan. They have four children: Chuck Jr., Janet, Mary and Terry.
