| Info | Osi Onyekwuluje took a bold life-changing step 22 years ago, when as a teenager, he left his parent's home for the first time and journeyed alone to the United States for the freedoms and life opportunities this country offers. Most of us were born American Citizens and Kentuckians; He chose to become an American Citizen and a Kentuckian. As a young man, Osi yearned to breathe free and reach for the stars. That desire, that yearning, and that quest have molded him into the great citizen and Kentuckian that he is today. He utilizes these same qualities to serve you as your next State Auditor of Public Accounts. Osi is a Respected Attorney, accomplished Litigator and Prosecutor with backgrounds in Accounting, Finance and Computer science. He is also a Certified Public Manager. He has been admitted to practice in the United States Supreme Court and has practiced law for the past 16� years. He was a nominee for Judicial Appointment and he also has a background in Advanced Constitutional Law; backgrounds that will serve him well and provide him the courage needed to "follow the money trail" and help with "prosecuting those who may have been involved in financial irregularities and shenanigans with your hard earned tax money", Onyekwuluje added. He is recognized in "Who's Who Among Rising Young Americans", and serves in numerous leadership and community positions. He is a member of numerous boards, commissions, and civic organizations. He serves in many Law and Legal Affiliated Organizations, as well as civic organizations like the Rotary Club (Paul Harris Fellow), United Way, and many others. Osi is a Kentucky Colonel, a Goodwill Ambassador, a Kentucky Admiral, an Alumnus of the Citizens Police Academy and a 2002 graduate of Leadership Kentucky.
"The Kentucky Auditor of Public Accounts is an integral part of assisting the next Governor to achieve his/her budgetary goals and give the Governor and Legislature the necessary tools and pertinent information to cut taxes, eliminate wasteful spending, prevent government abuse, end mismanagement, avoid budgetary shortfalls and stop the financial hemorrhaging in Frankfort", Osi stated. He emphasized that he will work with the next Governor to "make sure your taxes are not raised, your hard earned money is not wasted, and your voices and concerns are heard in the halls of the Legislature and Governor's Mansion".
According to Osi Onyekwuluje, he is running for elective office because it provides him a unique opportunity to "continue to repay my country and my fellow Kentuckians, for what this country has done for me and for molding me into the successful young man that I turned out to be. I owe all of my success to God and Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior, and to this country".
