Les has served on the Alna Board of Selectmen, the Capitol Planning Commission, the Alna School Board, the Commission for Maine’s Future and the Union 48 School Board. Les enjoys hiking and camping. As a board member of the Morris Farm Trust, in Wiscasset, he is dedicated to preserving Maine’s outdoor heritage.

Rep. Fossel and his wife, Merry, have a family that includes two sons, a step-son and a step-daughter.
